DMOZ Directory Mirrored on SPAM Sites!

Recently, I was researching backlinks for a client’s SEO project and found something interesting. They already were listed in DMOZ for years and I also found out some link farm / spam sites mirror the DMOZ directory. I’m still wondering if this helps or hurts SEO and rankings.
